ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

In line with our philosophy of borderless higher education, we offer the opportunity for all ambitious students with higher academic potential irrespective of their age or where they live.  Our entry requirements therefore offer a great flexibility.

Professional Programmes
Each professional course has its requisite admission requirements as stated in their Regulations. Generally, all applicants must normally be 18 years of age. They are required to hold at least one of the following qualifications:

  • 5 GCE Ordinary level passes plus 2 GCE Advanced level passes including English and Mathematics or
  • 5 SSSCE passes including English Language and Mathematics

Holders of higher qualifications may gain exemption from some of the examinations.
The period for completion of a professional programme depends on the policy of the relevant professional body.

Undergraduate Programmes
Applicants for undergraduate programmes of the College should normally possess any of the following qualifications:

  • Three GCE Ordinary level passes plus 2 GCE Advanced level passes including English and Mathematics or
  • Three subjects at GCE A Level plus at least One further subject at GCE O Level.
  • 5 SSCE credits including English and Mathematics.  Students without English and Mathematics must undergo and pass a 3 months proficiency course in English and Mathematics.  Such students may also be required to pass the British Council English Language Proficiency test.

Applicants with full first degree by examination awarded by a recognised University may be eligible for exemptions and may complete the programme within two years. Mature Students: Applicants who do not meet the general entry requirements but possess passes in four subjects at GCE O Level or its equivalent and are at least 21 years of age at the time of submitting their applications may qualify as mature students.  Such applicants are normally required to undertake a written examination and pass an interview to test their competencies and preparedness to pursue undergraduate programmes.

HND and Other Diploma Applicants:
Applicants with HND from the Polytechnics may be entitled to exemption that will enable them obtain their first degree within two year. Exemptions are granted on individual basis.
